2012 'Joy Is My Middle Name'

I'm taking up my second ever Edinburgh hour show 'Joy Is My Middle Name' to this years festival, and tickets are available here.

It's on at 19.45 at the Underbelly off Cowgate from the 2-26th August (not 14th).

Did the name your parents chose for you reflect their unrealistic expectations? Hope? Faith? Moon Unit? Catie Joy Wilkins hates smiling. Her middle name makes things worse.

Not everyone has the unique combination of misery and sarcasm to benefit from the full irony of having Joy as a middle name. (Some people actually look on the bright side of life).

"Exceedingly charming and self-effacing.... a nice line in acidic sarcasm." Metro

Following her highly successful Edinburgh debut ‘A Chip off The Odd Block' last year, Catie returns to Underbelly with Joy is My Middle Name ; a brand new hour of hilarious stories and dry wit.

Find out what to do if your tooth snags during fellatio, how men created a feminist Swiss Army Knife (basically by adding a sewing kit) plus hear some good news for thousands of girls with no sex appeal.

"Wonderfully funny" Chortle

I'm in a list of top picks of shows to go and see in Edinburgh. And I did some Q&A for the Huffington Post here. And Fringe Biscuit here.

You can see my comedy for a fiver on the 2nd and 3rd of August.

I'm also writing a Huffington Post Blog for the duration of the Fringe. The first and second ones are up and the archive with all of them is here.

In 2011 Catie took her debut Edinburgh show ‘A Chip off the Odd Block' up to the festival. It played to sell-out audiences, was nominated for the NOTBBC Best Live Comedy Show award, and gathered several 4 star reviews.

2010 'Inheritance Tax'

In 2010 Catie dabbled with the idea of doing a solo hour show, by taking this knockaround of ideas to the Camden Fringe for 4 nights. It was scary but also exciting.

2009 'It's Got Jokes In'

In 2009 Catie returned to Festival, this time for a three-hander with Hannah George and Lou 'Big Fun' Sanders, for the full run. It was a lot of fun.

2008 'Comedy O'Clock'

In 2008 Catie dabbled with the idea with doing a show on the Edinburgh Fringe, by doing a four-hander with comics Hannah George, Nick Helm and Richard Bond, for 10 days. It was a lot of fun.
